Founded in Knoxville, TN, Alpine Repair was built with a single goal: to take the stress out of car repair. No more sitting in waiting rooms. No more vague quotes. No more tow trucks unless you absolutely need one.

How It Started

What began as a passion for turning wrenches in a garage evolved into a full-time mission to fix vehicles the right way and treat people with respect. Alpine Repair grew out of that simple promise: to give honest answers, fair pricing, and top-tier work.

As demand grew, we expanded from personal vehicles to fleet, equipment, and specialty diagnostics—and brought in certified techs who live and breathe East Tennessee’s car culture.

Our Founders- The Zaugg Family

Alpine Repair was born from humble beginnings, rooted in resilience, grit, and a deep desire to bring integrity back to auto repair. Our founders, Zachary and Mykayla, both children of single mothers, saw firsthand the struggles that come with unreliable transportation—and the all-too-common lack of transparency in traditional auto shops. From a young age, they understood that affordable, honest mechanical support wasn’t just a convenience—it was a necessity.

Zachary’s passion for automotive work began in high school shop classes and led him to earn scholarships and certifications in automotive and diesel mechanics. Growing up on a 12-acre farm, he learned the value of doing things right the first time. Today, with over a decade of certified industry experience—including heavy-duty and industrial systems—he brings depth, knowledge, and steady leadership to the Alpine team.

Mykayla’s roots are just as hands-on. Raised around her family's junkyard, she was changing oil and rotating tires before she could legally drive. She quickly recognized the disparities women face in the automotive world—unequal treatment, lack of trust, and underrepresentation. That realization sparked a fire in her to become a voice for women in the industry and a driving force behind Alpine Repair’s mission for fairness and respect.

Their paths crossed in a chance motorcycle sale—but what started as a simple exchange turned into something much more. After marrying and building a thriving side business together, Zachary and Mykayla brought their vision to East Tennessee in 2022. By January 2023, Alpine Repair was fully licensed, insured, and operating as a mobile mechanic service committed to convenience, professionalism, and trust full time.

What started from their home has grown into something bigger. Today, Alpine Repair operates out of an official location on Middlebrook Pike in Knoxville. With a growing fleet of fully-equipped service trucks and a team of certified, customer-focused technicians, we proudly serve individuals, families, and fleets across East Tennessee.
